SUMMARY:Foundations of Peer Work
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Consumers of Mental Health WA (CoMHWA)\, the WA Primary Health Alliance and WACOSS are supporting the delivery of the Foundations of Peer Work workshop for individuals in the Pilbara. This workshop is for participants with a lived experience such as mental health or AOD use who feel they have progressed along their recovery path and would like to know more about peer support work. \nCoMHWA provides lived experience education\, training and awareness raising to consumers\, services\, policy makers and the wider community. \nWorkshop topics include: \n\nWhat and Why of Peer Work\nThe facilitators role\nIntentional story sharing/disclosure\nRecovery\, readiness & self-care\n\nLimited travel support subsidies are available to Pilbara-based candidates.
