SUMMARY:Community Sector Recovery Webinar Series - Regional place-based recovery & community wealth building
DESCRIPTION:We are holding a series of webinars about key topics facing the community services sector in WA. The series will consist of eight webinars\, running weekly on Wednesdays at 1pm\, starting from 22 July 2020. \nIn this series\, we are inviting input and engagement from our members\, and the broader community services sector\, into our initial thinking about what an inclusive plan for recovery needs to look like for Western Australia in order to leave no one behind. \nRegister for one\, or for many – whichever are of interest to you. Each webinar will feature a presentation from WACOSS and some of our key partners\, followed by opportunities for questions and discussion. Be sure to register to receive some essential pre-reading and the link to the Zoom meeting. \nRegional place-based recovery & community wealth building \nSocial and economic recovery in regional Western Australia should be driven by community-based programs and initiatives that are created and sustained locally. Place-based solutions\, particularly in regional and remote areas\, are better able to develop effective and comprehensive responses to complex issues. Community wealth building is a systems approach to economic development that creates an inclusive\, sustainable economy built on locally rooted and broadly held ownership. \nIn partnership with Linkwest.
