COVID-19 Cleaning Reimbursement Scheme

Purpose and Overview

Community service organisations are invited to apply to the COVID-19 cleaning reimbursement scheme by filling out the online form below.

We secured funding from the Western Australian State Government in early 2022 to support community service organisations impacted by increased costs of additional cleaning as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following consultation with the sector and conversations with the State Government, we are pleased to continue offering cleaning reimbursement to community service organisations, with revised criteria.

Community organisations can now claim reimbursement for preventative cleaning and the purchase of air purifiers.

Eligibility is open to not-for-profit community service organisations that hold a WA State Government contract and provide services to members of our community who experience vulnerability.

Under the new reimbursement guidelines:
  • Organisations can apply for a one off $2,000 cleaning payment to cover the cost of preventative cleaning that has occurred on or after 14 January 2022. Applications must include an invoice from cleaning services stating that the grant was or will be used for cleaning.

  • Organisations can apply for a one off reimbursement of $1,000 for air purifiers. Proof of purchase must be provided.

  • Funding will be available on a reimbursement basis once receipts have been provided and eligibility criteria met.

  • Community service organisations can apply for both payments – a total of $3,000.

  • Recipients who have received reimbursement under the previous criteria, are not excluded to apply again under this new, one off criteria.

 Reimbursement is not available for:
  • Federally-funded aged care services.
  • Federally-funded NDIS services.
  • Individual clients of NDIS services.

Claims are valid from 14 January 2022 and are ongoing, while funds remain available.
